A native of Kansas City, the Rev. Dr. Scott M. Kenefake is a graduate of the University of Kansas and Washburn University School of Law, as well as San Francisco Theological Seminary and Pittsburgh Theological Seminary.

He’s been married to his wife Gail since 1984. Gail is a graduate of the University of Virginia and is a trainer with the higher education software company Evisions. She works with colleges and universities around the country and the world.  Scott and Gail have two adult children. Mary Elizabeth is a graduate of Wellesley College and a Senior  Communications Manager with PitchBook in London. She is married to Mark Attmore. William is a graduate of Bowdoin College and Brooklyn Law School.  He lives in Kansas City with his wife Anna, and daughters Jacqueline and Caroline, where he works for the Department of Labor as a Benefits Investigator.

In recent years Dr. Kenefake has focused his ministry on Interim/Transitional Ministry work and is currently serving First Presbyterian Church in Naples, Florida as Interim Senior Pastor. He has many years of experience helping urban, city-center, suburban, college/university, and multicultural congregations through changes in staff leadership and helping them to develop new visions for the future.
